Are you a self-driven, innovative engineer with expertise in mold design and plastic forming technologies? Join our dynamic team to lead the development, procurement, and validation of cutting-edge molds. In this role, you'll harness the latest and most advanced technologies to design, produce, and maintain industry-leading molds, driving innovation and excellence in every project.

Key Impact Areas.
 
  • Create and execute tooling strategies to achieve production objectives.
  • Oversee new tool projects and the tooling repair department.
  • Design tooling for large-scale machinery, ensuring compatibility with high-tonnage presses.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to enhance tooling and boost performance.
  • Update tooling documentation and evaluate data for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure the quality and reliability of tooling.
  • Investigate new technologies for mold repair and maintenance.
  • Team up with engineering to ensure product designs are moldable, suggesting design or process improvements.
  • Lead process improvement efforts by exploring alternative methods, materials, and equipment.

Success Essentials.
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Over 15 years of injection molding expertise, specializing in tool design.
  • 10+ years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Proficient in managing large-scale machinery and tooling for high-capacity production.
  • Strong skills in project management.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in mold design and construction.
  • Skilled in 3D modeling software, including SolidWorks.
  • Expertise in interpreting and utilizing Moldflow analyses.
  • Knowledgeable in various mold materials and metal types.
  • Advanced expertise in cold runner and hot runner manifold systems.
  • Collaborative experience with engineering and technician teams.
  • Deep understanding of plastics manufacturing, including injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and thermoforming.
  • Experience working with diverse polymer types.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexible with frequent travel requirements, up to weekly, depending on project needs.
