Civil Superintendent - California High-Speed Rail Project

Location: Central Valley, CA

Salary Range: $200,000 - $275,000 per year (based on experience)

About the Project:

The California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Construction Package 1 (CP1) is the first major construction phase of the High-Speed Rail project in California’s Central Valley. Spanning 32 miles from Madera to Fresno, this transformative project will include critical elements such as 12 roadway/railroad grade separations, mainline viaducts, a tunnel, river crossings, and extensive infrastructure realignments.

Role Overview:

As a Civil Superintendent at Company, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead and supervise the construction team to ensure that the project is built safely, in alignment with design, budget, and timeline.

• Take responsibility for planning, coordinating, and overseeing onsite activities, including scheduling and subcontractor coordination.

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, proper utilization of materials and equipment, and adherence to the site safety plan.

• Provide technical support by interpreting drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, and offering solutions to on-site challenges.

• Collaborate with project management to develop and execute project schedules, site logistics plans, and project procedures.

• Support and implement the Site-Specific Safety Plan.

• Coordinate with on-site Owner representatives and teams.

• Perform additional tasks as directed by your supervisor to keep the project moving forward.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School diploma or GED (or 15+ years of relevant construction experience).

• 10+ years of experience as a superintendent on large-scale heavy civil projects.

• Proven track record as a superintendent on projects valued at over $200M.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. construction methods, techniques, and industry standards.

• Experience with City, State, and Federal Government clients is a plus.

• Familiarity with contract management and local trade unions/crafts.

• Proficiency in MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, or similar software.

• OSHA certification and First Aid certifications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
