Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Surveillance Department, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to internal controls.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the property and the gaming commission.
- Supervise, train, and develop surveillance staff to optimize their performance in observing both gaming and non-gaming activities.
- Respond swiftly and decisively to suspicious or unusual activities that may violate gaming regulations.
- Oversee hiring, training, and disciplinary actions for team members, fostering a high-performance team.
- Drive operational efficiency and productivity within the department.
- Conduct training and testing across all gaming areas to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Prepare regular, insightful reports on department activities and concerns.
- Ensure confidentiality is upheld within the department at all times.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and internal teams on investigations.
- Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the Surveillance Department, with regular updates for management.
- Foster strong interdepartmental relationships to ensure effective operational support across the property.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by researching and integrating best practices to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Manage surveillance inventory and ensure the smooth operation of all equipment.
- Lead the transition from tape media to digital surveillance systems, planning and overseeing implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain the department’s budget.
- Contribute to additional projects and tasks as assigned by management.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A minimum of 5 years of surveillance experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of table games rules, procedures, and gaming regulations.
- Proficient with surveillance software and Microsoft Office programs.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment like handheld radios and video recording systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and licenses as per local gaming regulations.
