In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure compliance with gaming regulations and company policies while maintaining a top-notch, highly efficient surveillance operation. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Surveillance Department, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to internal controls.
Serve as the primary liaison between the property and the gaming commission.
Supervise, train, and develop surveillance staff to optimize their performance in observing both gaming and non-gaming activities.
Respond swiftly and decisively to suspicious or unusual activities that may violate gaming regulations.
Oversee hiring, training, and disciplinary actions for team members, fostering a high-performance team.
Drive operational efficiency and productivity within the department.
Conduct training and testing across all gaming areas to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
Prepare regular, insightful reports on department activities and concerns.
Ensure confidentiality is upheld within the department at all times.
Collaborate with law enforcement and internal teams on investigations.
Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the Surveillance Department, with regular updates for management.
Foster strong interdepartmental relationships to ensure effective operational support across the property.
Stay ahead of industry trends by researching and integrating best practices to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
Manage surveillance inventory and ensure the smooth operation of all equipment.
Lead the transition from tape media to digital surveillance systems, planning and overseeing implementation and ongoing maintenance.
Prepare and maintain the department’s budget.
Contribute to additional projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
A minimum of 5 years of surveillance experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
In-depth knowledge of table games rules, procedures, and gaming regulations.
Proficient with surveillance software and Microsoft Office programs.
Familiarity with surveillance equipment like handheld radios and video recording systems.
Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and licenses as per local gaming regulations.
