Safety Director

Director of Safety & HSE
Western / Midwest Region

Full Time. $90,000 - $120,000 (DOE)

We're seeking an experienced safety professional to help lead and strengthen our safety programs across multiple operating companies throughout the Western United States. This role offers the opportunity to influence safety strategy, mentor safety personnel, support field operations, and drive continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of construction, utility, and infrastructure projects.

Whether your background is as a Director of Safety, Regional Safety Manager, Corporate Safety Manager, HSE Manager, EHS Manager, or similar leadership role, we'd like to hear from you.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and support company-wide safety initiatives
  • Build a proactive, positive safety culture across multiple business units
  • Coach and develop safety professionals, supervisors, and operational leaders
  • Partner with field teams to identify risks and improve safety performance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, NFPA, and applicable regulations
  • Conduct investigations and root-cause analyses when incidents occur
  • Develop training programs, policies, and best practices
  • Travel to project sites throughout the Western U.S. to support operations
What We're Looking For
  • Safety leadership experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure, industrial, transportation, or related industries
  • Ability to travel approx. 50% between UT, CO, AZ, MT, ID
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and regulatory compliance
  • Experience supporting multiple projects, regions, or business units
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • CSP, ASP, CHST, STSC, SSH, CSHO, CUSP, or similar certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Utility construction, electrical, underground infrastructure, or commercial vehicle safety experience
  • Bilingual Spanish skills
  • OSHA 500, CDL Class A, or related certifications
